From Paddock To Potager (P2P) is located at Highfields, Toowoomba.

Our ultimate aim is to educate, celebrate and promote local produce through developing a channel for others to learn about the efforts made to yield seasonal, local and ethically reared food.

We hope to inspire others to think about what food is on their plate, where their food has come from, how it has been produced and the environmental factors too.

From Paddock to Potager offers a glimpse into farm life, which is child friendly and safe.

We are passionate about supporting small producers and sustainable agriculture.

We offer an experience where both children and adults, together can appreciate fresh farm, homegrown produce through an interactive tour of our farm.

Hope to meet you at one of our ticketed events :)

Be sure to sign up to our Email Updates to receive the latest on upcoming events, stories, specials, where we will be, etc :)

From Paddock to Potager offers the following events;

Farm Tours:
Visitors are encouraged to pet, hold and cuddle our farm animals whilst we tell you about the processes used to care for them, and what it takes to manage our farm here at From Paddock to Potager. This ticketed event can have up to 30 persons attend at one time. We offer a light morning tea with food grown or reared here on the farm, and that has been locally sourced. These events are usually ran 2-3 times per month on a Sunday and cost $10 per person over 2 years. Children under 2 are free. See this months event calendar regularly posted on our page to see upcoming event dates :)

Seasonal Open Days:
Turn of the season open days. Here we have had around 400 people attend between the hours of 10-1pm. We can see why our open days are so popular as they include boutique markets who sell their local seasonal produce or handmade items, entertainment for the whole family, guest speakers, a farm photo booth (have a photo with a lamb!) & animals to pet in the animal nursery. Entry is $10 per person, under 2 years are free the first Sunday of the start of each season.

Workshops for children; Little Farmhouse Harvest:
'Little Farmhouse Harvest' is a fun, positive new experience for your child. We aim to introduce a simple understanding about food sources; where food comes from and the process made to get food from the paddock to the plate. Children will experience what efforts are made to yield seasonal, local and ethical food, using organic methods. You are welcome to leave your child here with us from the hours 10-1pm. Within this timeframe they will have morning tea, have a farm tour, forage from the Potager and make a gourmet lunch with my assistance from the produce picked fresh from the Potager or locally sourced ingredients. These workshops are usually ran throughout the school holidays and cater for the ages 5-12, however very negotiable on age. Price is $35 per child. See this months event calendar regularly posted on our page to see upcoming event dates :)

Poultry; Poultry Sales and now offering Chook Workshops:
We sell heritage lines. Currently we have Orpingtons, Light Sussex, Rhode Island Red, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Silkie bantams, Pekin Bantams, and Plymouth Rocks. These breeds will lay every other day (usually you’ll get 3-5 eggs p/week depending on the breed) and their longevity is greater than a hybrid bird (Isa’s), laying for a good 5-6 years. We have decided to run a workshop where you and your children can learn about chooks, have all your questions answered and find out what it takes to rear happy healthy chooks; feeding, bedding, vaccinating, breeds, laying, seasonal jobs, and even some eggcellent recipes! See this months event calendar regularly posted on our page to see upcoming event dates :)

Group Bookings;
We cater for groups on Wednesday's, Thursday's and Saturday’s. Organise a group of friends, your playgroup, tell your child’s early childhood educator, school, vacation care or have your child's birthday party here. You & other adults are encouraged to relax & take in the country ambience whilst we host your group of children; feeding and petting the pigs, lambs and chooks, milking our house cow, holding baby chickens, foraging through the garden, sitting up on the tractor & more! Light morning tea is included. Session times are morning or afternoon; 9.30 – 11am or 1.30 – 3pm. Cost is $150 p/session + $10 pp if over 15 people attend.
